About Us
Discover The Artist
You Were Created To Be.
Störling Conservatory is designed for pre-professional and professional dancers to receive advanced technical training to prepare and equip them for a career in the Performing Arts. With a focus on Performance, Production, and Choreography, students will participate in classes designed to educate in order to fulfill their artistic calling. This may include helping them to find the company, school, or ministry that would best fit each dancer’s unique skill set.
While Störling Conservatory students may have a chance to work with Störling Dance Theater’s professional neo-classical modern dance company either in their performances or classes- our goal is to lead each student to discover their artistic focus and individual style while at the same time preparing them for the dance company or program that is the best fit so that they may thrive. We are equally interested in encouraging the rare, but all-important entrepreneur and artistic innovator.
Some of our grads have gone on to be a soloist in both pre-professional and professional ballet, modern, contemporary, or hip hop companies all around the United States. Others have worked in professional musical theater, competitive ballroom both nationally and internationally, and dance ministry opportunities around the world. From North and South America to Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond, Störling graduates have performed and instructed dance in a wide variety of settings and opportunities including launching and directing new companies, teaching as adjunct faculty in established programs, and choreographing new work.
These emerging artists have also used their skills to bring awareness and resources to important issues by creating relevant work and partnering with effective organizations. Some of our alumni have worked with human trafficking organizations nationally and internationally and used dance as an outreach for trafficked women. Whatever your dream is, we want to help you achieve it and to see your full gifts and talents revealed.
